Rules and Guidelines

This category awards the best sequence filmed entirely with a mobile device, as part of a feature film released in theaters. It showcases how mobile technology seamlessly integrates into professional filmmaking, whether for practicality, accessibility, or creative choice.

Rules & Requirements

  • Mobile Filming: The sequence must be 100% filmed with a mobile device, tablet, or similar.
  • Feature Film: The sequence must be part of a film of at least 60 minutes, released in theaters.
  • Submission: Only the mobile-filmed sequence must be submitted, along with a brief description (max. 150 words) explaining its context within the film.

Evaluation Criteria

  • Innovation: Creative and effective use of mobile filming.
  • Integration: How well the sequence blends into the rest of the film.
  • Narrative: The sequence’s impact on the overall story.
  • Cinematic Quality: How well it demonstrates the potential of mobile technology on the big screen.

Eligibility: The feature film must have been released in theaters (proof of release may be required).
Festival Committee Selection: The festival committee may search for and invite films that meet the requirements to participate.
